Porsche 919 Hybrid Winner Le Mans 2017

Even though Toyota fought valiantly at the 2017 24 Hours of Le Mans, it was not enough for them to prevail as the 2017 Le Mans winner. Toyota established a great lead in the first few hours of the race, while the #2 Porsche 919 Hybrid had to take a stop to fix its axle. The #7 Toyota TS050 suffered a clutch failures, and the #9 TS050 suffered a tire puncture resulting in gearbox damage. The #1 919 Hybrid suffered from a failed engine with no oil pressure, putting it out of contention of the race as well. With all of these events unfolding, the Jackie Chan DC Racing Oreca 07 made history, becoming the first LMP2 car to lead a Le Mans race. The #2 passed the Jackie Chan DC Racing Oreca with under two hours to go of the race, putting 367 laps in the record book, taking the win.
